A maternity photo shoot can be an incredibly empowering experience for any parent to be. The way your body changes and the strength it takes to grow a tiny human is worth capturing. I loved working with Elyse, Brad and their beautiful dog on this West Coast Auckland beach. We managed to make the most of the sunset and capture some stunning, natural shots. It's always so much fun helping people feel beautiful and powerful. 

It's been a long time, but I'm still a little in love with this gorgeous baby shoot. It was a breeze to work with new parents Jason and Kylie in their home in Auckland one sunny afternoon. Doing shoots at home means it's easy to get tired babies in the right time frame and is less stress for the parents. My mostly documentary style means I am able to capture the candid, real moments with a few happy posed pictures for the grandparents thrown in. A few pictures to treasure forever. x 

It's hard to beat a stunning golden hour shoot when thinking about maternity photos. Aimee and I shot in a stunning location on the east coast of Auckland. We were so lucky to get such beautiful lighting on this gorgeous evening. Even if we did get a few sea lice bites in the process! Aimee later submitted these images into the "Bump & Me" magazine photography competition and our photo won a full spread in the mag and a whole load of awesome mum-to-be prizes for Aimee. Congrats to the beautiful mama. 

Pregnancy is a truly incredible time, and what your body goes through is kind of mind blowing. I love working with people who are experiencing the power and strength of what their bodies go through during pregnancy. And helping them to capture that feeling in photos, for generations to come with a maternity photoshooot. There's not many things worth celebrating more than the miracle of life! x 

It was an honor to photography Ashley again for a maternity shoot in Auckland just before she was due to give birth to a beautiful little girl. The stunning yellow dress she wore complimented the surroundings of the bay at sunset. This was such a special way for her to capture her bump before her body changed once more. Pregnant bodies are truly amazing!

Not only were they celebrating a romantic to the city of light, but they had some very special news to announce! I was lucky enough to be back in my home country of New Zealand for a month in September where we were welcoming the beginning of spring. My beautiful friend and mamma-to-be Danni was also about to welcome her first baby with husband Tom. We spent a lovely warm morning shooting by the sea in quintessential New Zealand surroundings, making the perfect back drop for a maternity photo-shoot. I'm so happy I got to capture this moment with her before such a life changing event. xxx
