Parisians met in Place de la Republique today to unite against the terrors of Friday nights attacks. Although still on edge, people gathered to pay their respects to the 120+ people that were killed by gunfire and explosions throughout the capital.
Some lit candles, some sang, some simply sat, and some were offering free hugs to the public. An emotional and incredibly moving scene, it's the first time I have ever had to shoot with tears in my eyes.
The atmosphere is the city is somber and silent, many are still on high alert, but moving about and attempting to get on with their daily lives. Spending time with friends and family has been priority this weekend as Paris begins to heal.
